    EK1 65 opinion

    Greetings,
This EK1 is a one piece it appears and as pics will show. This was one of the first pieces I had ever acquired. While reviewing the posts, I didn't see a K&Q EK databank. I am hoping that perhaps this is a later award, It is a concave piece.

Let me know what you think.

    Regards,
    JustinG

            Fake

Sorry, but nothing about this one is correct. First, K&Q didn't make 1914-series re-issue EKs. Second, the '65' isn't correct for K&Q. Third, this 'core' is known in other fakes. Fourth, the pin is unknown on real EKs from any maker. Fifth, very few real 1-piece EKs exist, and this matches none of them.

            File under 'experience.'
            Best regards,

Thanks, I was going through my collection and just happened to take a look at this cross. I had never posted it and upon evaluation, I had become pretty suspicious. I didn't think this cross was going to hold up.
There was nothing like this in the databank and the EK1's 1939 that were K&Q have their maker stamped crisply in the pin back. I appreciate it.
                Regards,
                JustinG
