Neat German coffee/tea mug

Hello forum.

I was told this is from WWI or earlier... and German.

Any idea what the translation of the mug says?

The neat thing about the mug.... is the feature for those you have a mustache and don't want to get it wet drinking for the mug!

It was $25 bucks at a yard sale... so... I took a chance.
