    Big Cross

Interesting piece but is it original/old? what is it for?

It could be a repop of a grave marker from any of many local war cemetaries found in small villages throughout Germany. Reason I say repop is 'cause it looks way too new to have weathered 80+ seasons' worth of oxidation...

Nice detail on this one. Hard to tell if its original or not. It could also look new because it was taken off the grave in 1919 and stayed in someone's attic since then.

Doubt very much that grave defacing was very much in vogue directly after WW1. There are also machine made marks (perhaps from a modern buffer) on the corners of the frames of the cross.

We had one around the house that we used to play with when we were small;that is, if it wasn't where we found it on Grandpa's desk holding down the papers.
