    A Pair of Godet EKs

    Hi guys.

Today I got a few little things to improve my photographs. I'm still working on perfecting them, but here are some I took today of my 'G' marked Godet EKs. Hope you enjoy them!

By the way, I was helped by you guys, Greg, Tony, Marshall, and a few others when I was looking to buy these, so thank you! I love 'em.
    Best regards,
    Streptile

    Sweet crosses.
Just look at the detail in the crown of the 2nd class cross. You can't
    get much better than that

I have a beautiful Godet EK2 with a piece of non-combatant ribbon that was given to me as a gift by a dear friend. It's the nicest cross I've ever seen!

          Trevor,

Super crosses and very nice pics.

It would be very hard to argue against Godet being the maker of the highest quality 1914 EKs.

          Tony

P.S. Always glad to help out.

Thanks for the nice words on the EKs and the photos, guys.

I love these and I agree that the Godets are superb examples... certainly the finest I have in my collection.

It's always interested me that the 1870 "slender 7" Godet core does not, in my personal opinion, measure up to their usual high standards of design. I find the date on those inelegant. Perhaps others disagree. But the crowns and dates on these Imperials are out of this world beautiful.

Also I love them blackened, as these two are, instead of painted.

I am a bit critical of the photos and will replace with some new(er) ones now that I've imporoved my technique even more!
            Best regards,
            Streptile

Thanks for the nice comments, guys. One more photo of the 2nd class. I'm still working on the color temperature, but the framing and focus is better on this one:

And a couple more of the First Class:

I think the photos are just about right now.
                  Best regards,
