The research Gods have been kind to me this month. I picked up a nice Fussartillerie Bttn. history (published in 1919) that lists all 683 members of the battalion, their awards, their wounds & severity, how and where they died, their professions, addresses, ranks etc. etc. It's interesting, of 684 men in the Bayer 5 FA 1st Bttn, only 8 got the EK1, 4 officers and 4 enlisted. 283 got Bavarian awards (all the officers got a Bav. MMo4X) and 212 got the EK2. 12 men went through the war from August 1914 without any awards whatsoever. 153 were wounded and 88 died (inc. 1 who committed suicide on the 1st day of mobilization).
This below, entitled "Mitgleider Verzeichnis des Vereins ehemaliger Offiziere des Kgl. Preuss. Fusiler-Regts. Generalfeldmarshall Prinz Albrecht von Preussen (Hanov.) Nr. 73 E.D." @1936 arrived yesterday. It lists @385 officers-and all of their awards. The deatil is amazing.
It includes Ernst Junger and the grandson of Otto von Bismarck. So, as per your request Herr Rickmeister:
