    saint george medal? Imperial German?

    I have this old silver hand engraved saint george medal.The medal is engraved buy a master!The item is marked on the back but i cant figure out what it is.By the pin on the back it look to be 18th century or early 19th century. Can anybody clue me in on what the heck this is. I came with a bag of german medals and tinnies from ww1 and ww2.

            The mark on the reverse could be either a makers mark or a silver content mark.
            St. George is usually associated with Imperial Russia and less so with England.
            The pin and catch look to me like early to mid 20th century.
            Just a guess.
