    The Missing Medal

    Hello Gentlemen,

I recently purchased this mini medal chain, however there is a missing medal. May I ask for your opinions as to which decoration would fit appropriately in that location?

    Many thanks,
    Vince Leone

Correct me if I'm wrong, but after the Hindenburg Cross was issued in 1934 the Kyffhauser-Bund medal was not supposed to be displayed at all. Maybe this Vet didn't get the message?? Ammersee

            Hello,

This would not be the first time a medal was worn contrary to regulations. Technically you are correct but the fact remains that there is an empty space to fill and this is my quest.

Do you have an opinion on what you would like to see in this open space?

            My best,
            Vince

Here is another example showing a Hindey mounted along side a Kyffer.

True but the older guys not on active duty had a tendancy to do thier own thing.

I think not. The wound badge would go at the end. Probably a pre-war noncombat award from a state or some such, perhaps one of the jubilees.

That is along the line of what I was thinking

A 1897 medal might fit well.

And, guys... the Ehrenkreuz was issued in 1934/35, but "the other" awards were not banned to be worn until 1936, so there was a time frame where such combinations were not against any regulation.
