        Stammlisten

        Brian,

as we all know, the wretched Prussian Ranglisten are pretty useless for biographical information. Fortunately Ewald von Massow served in two regiments of which I own a published regimental Stammliste: 2. Garde-Regiment zu Fuß and the Garde-Füsilier-Regiment. These volumes contain the biographical details of all the officers who served in a particular regiment.

Some are more detailed than others and of course the most useful are those published AFTER WW1 but these are very much in the minority, most appearing before the war. The better volumes also include reserve officers, medical and veterinary officers and paymasters.

        Regards
        Glenn

Forgot to mention he was also an Allgemeine SS-Gruppenführer on the staff of the Reichsführer-SS. SS Number 39 421 and party number 315 743.

          Regards
