Is this combination of ribbons possible?



The picture that the above image is based on has wandered off to some dank corner of my hard drive, and I'll post it when (or if) I can find it again. This image is represenative though.

I believe what I'm looking at is:
Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse am Band für Nichtkämpfer
Mobilisierungs-Erinnerungskreuz, 1912-13
Ehrenkreuz des Weltkrieges für Frontkämpfer
Rote-Kreuz-Medaille 2. / 3. Klasse
Treuedienst-Ehrenzeichen

No, but maybe the Austrian Mobilisierungskreuz is a Charlottenkreuz from Württemberg which has a nearly similar ribbon - yes.

Why would the following medals be on the same bar?

Maybe this guy was a Sanitäter (medic) and a battle was listed in his Soldbuch but he didn't took part in the action. The Fronkämpferkreuz was given for battles listed in the Soldbuch but maybe Braunschweig used other standarts for their KVK for non-combatants.

If anybody was under fire even for one day, he was eligible for a "combatant" Honor Cross, but could have spent 4 years back home for noncombatant awards.

Brunswick and Württemberg would be an odd combination.

That's a Saxon Friedrich August Medal war ribbon, then indeed the ribbon for BOTH the Austro-Hungarian 1912-13 Mobilization Cross (watching their borders during the Balkans Wars, which it cannot be) or the earlier 1908 Inhaber Jubilee Medal for foreign Regiments that had Franz Joseph as their honorary "Chef."

For Saxony, that would only be Ulanen Rgt 17.

BUT

this is a tab back style bar.

And frankly, I cannot imagine how it could possibly be an original combination:

1) The 1908 IJM would be last on a bar. (see scan below)

2) The IJM in bronze was only given to selected SENIOR noncommissioned officers-- there is no Saxon long service ribbon here.

Looks to me like someone has assembled parts.

Yep, a strange combination. I agree with Rick that maybe someone assembles this together. Can you post a pic of the back? Sometimes you can see signs of tools on the prongs on the back.

I thought the FAM had much lighter blue stripes on it..

This guy has a bunch of bars for auction on ebay. They are all listed with a cheap "Buy It Now" option. I definately think some of them are a bit shady. Check this one out. It could be a nice WWII combo, but it, unfortunately looks like a parts bar.

The blue in the first Saxon ribbon is certainly darker than I have seen before, but the proportion of the stripes and closeness to the edges isn't right for the Brunswick.

Looks to me like the ribbons are probably original old stock, but that doesn't make the combination or mounting any more believeable.

Would somebody please tell this seller to stop slapping gluey stickers on his ribbons? I've gotten an Imperial one from him (second hand via my Evil Twin) and the adhesive damage is PERMANENT. YEESH!!!!!!!
