    Cased Tyrolean Medal Bar

A very lucky purchase from a few months ago....

Cased Five Piece Medal Bar with 4 out of 5 WWI Commemorative medals including the "Tyrolean Provincial Commemorative Medal 1914-1918" made by Carl Poellath of Schrobenhausen. It is in near mint condition and came with a card from CP for a "Ersatz-EhrenKreuze and Miniaturen" - the Hindendenburg cross is marked "C.P.". It also came with matching ribbon bar.

Is the Austrian medal out of order?

Not necessarily, Rolf. This bar could have been awarded to a German or Austrian. Perhaps the recipient was from near Schrobenhausen.

And, yeah, I'm totally hooked on cases . I really like cased Ek1s and EK2s but the Cased Medal bars are next to none
