    WW1 EK2, maker "WA"

    Hi guys!

I got a WW1 EK2 and in the ring it's stamped "WA", with a round top of the "A".
Does anyone know what that maker's mark is for?

    Regards, Stefan

Could it be a Wagner from Berlin? I thought they just used a "W" but you never know..........

      Thanks, that could be it.
The oak leaves are very detailed so it might be an early EK?

Does Previtera's book handle the maker's marks, perhaps one could find it there?

      Cheers, Stefan

Stefan, save this thread for future reference, it has Jens' list of EK makers.

            Hello,

            thanks for promoting my list

I think it is one of the Wagners in Berlin. We have Wagner, Wagner & Sohn and Sy & Wagner. Is the mark in the big ring for the ribbon or in the small ring? I have two crosses marked with "Wa" but both in the small ring.

This is one of these crosses. You can compare it, maybe it is the same like yours:
