        Crisp early cross with high silver content.

          Thanks Brian, that confirms my thoughts. Any idea what kind of coating the core got? It's not painted.

            That's a nice one. I think the areas of the core with no paint are worn off over time. Those are the high points of the core where this is most likely to occur.

              Hi Steve, it looks like it's not painted at all, i would say some kind of surface treatment? Does not look like it's blued, are there any other treatments exept for blueing or painting? Or is the Imperial paint so very different from TR era paint that i am misstaken? Is the paint on 1914 ones extremly thin and hard?
