Concerning the B type iron core ..

here on WAF are several examples B type found who are in the wrong frame so to speak .

Wagner with B type ,,alphabet frame and so on ,,

the other way around the same thing ,,godet with A type are found

making a B type appointed to Godet as exclusive Godet made Iron core highly
debatable ,,,( in my opinion not realistic )

surely the B type seems to be of a later date as the A type ,,
AND , used right in to the 1914's .

wile the A type just has a 1914 resembling cousin showing .

making it not so easily to appoint the the A en B type to one maker ,or one framed period ..

And that is found by the combined afford of WAF collectors ,,not my idea ..

    regards kay

      Thanks Kay!

We see Godet's B type cores in both classes first and second,
what about Wagner's A1 core for the second class, ...did they ever made one?

        Questions,
... are all of the A type design cores first and second class were cast before January 1874, or some other company took over the production of the A type core design?

...is there A1 second class core?
        Hey Alik,

In my opinion, some other company (companies) definitely took over casting the Type A cores after 1874.

To me the Type A1 core remains a mystery that no one has been able to solve conclusively: who cast it, when, and why?

I have heard it said, once, from one person, that a Type A1 core exists in EK2s, but in many, many years I have never seen one. I would love to see one.

Is there way to tell which were done by the Berlin Foundry and which were done later?

In my opinion it's a question of quality and detail but there's no hard test I know of.
