Another item from the von Waagen family

Here is another (cased) item of the von Waagen family (see threads before), I can not identify. On the banner there is written " BAYR. BUNDES PRAESIDIUM". The Sword with banner is 10,8 x 3,5 cm (4,32 x 1,4").

What is it and what was it given for?

Sorry, I've never seen anything like it before. It is obviously a club or organization item, not an official Bavarian award. The basic reference for this kind of item is "KATALOG DER ABZEICHEN DEUTSCHER ORGANISATIONEN " by Huesken & Heering. I don't have a copy, however. Anyone else got one?

Hi Tim,

I have this reference book myself, but U think I will not find it there.

The Bundespräsidium is soemthing like an administrative organ of the Bavarian State.

For me it looks like a distinction, not like a membership pin.
