Question about size of Ek2

Hi all. I bought a EK2 class ww1 period recently(KO marked). When i compare it to Ek2 class ww2 period i have it seems smaller. Iron Crosses from ww1 where smaller than ww2 period?Thanks.

Yes. Average Imperial 42mm, WW2 44mm. There are variations, of course, but mostly with the WW2 ones which range from Schinkels at 42-43mm to Ubergroße at 47mm.
