    FJI cap badge

    Gentlemen.

I am wowefully under educated in the particulars of Imperial uniforms and I need your help in the identification of a little item we have.

It looks much like a ww2 M-43 cap but with a much shorter visor. Two green metal buttons join the ear flaps at the front and at the top of the peak as a metal cockade of brass with FJI cut out showing a black metal interior. The badge is mounted to the cap with a pair of staples.

I will post a pic as soon as I can

    Regards

    Austro-Hungarian

The cockade is the "Rosette" of an Austro-Hungarian non commissioned officer or soldier. FJI stand for Franz Joseph I.

    Regards
    Glenn

Like this? The badge on the cap is a bullion (officer's?) Kaiser Karl with German style tabs. The FJI has 2 rings mounted horizontally.
