    Garde-Kavallerie-Schutzen-Division collar badge

    Hello!
Was the Garde-Kavallerie-Schutzen-Division collar badge used only by the freikorps or was an insigna formerly in use before 1918 by an imperial unit as, for example, the freikorps Von Hiller collar badge?

    Thanks

    ciao

    G.K.S.D. was postwar.

What Hartung attributes to von Hiller was actually for the Grenzschutztruppen of the XVI Armeekorps. I'd be interested in hearing when this (pine tree collar emblem) was used prior to 1919.

Was the Grenzschutztruppen of the XVI Armeekorps a freikorps or a Reichwher regular unit?
