Stogieman you crack me up! That was the excate thing I thought, Shemp Howard. The three stogies even did a short about the Nazi navy. They called them the "ratzis". Shemp was not in it, Curly was.

Strongly agree. Since Shemp didn't join the group until 1947. This photo would explain his whereabouts during the war years.
BTW recently saw some footage of a bin laden training video and I swear one of the guys looked like Curly.
