    1914 EK 2 doc value?

Can anybody give me an idea of the value of a document for the 1914 EK 2? I haven't seen it, but it's supposed to be Austrian issue to an officer in a reserve battalion.
    Thanks,

    George

Such a document would be from the German issuing authority. The wonderful thing about Austro-Hungarian WWI awards is that with a name, rank, and unit, it is often possible to get service records and copies of the actual citations from the Austrian War Archive.

Or at least it was when I was rooting about in the 1980s.

Apparently the Austrian Kriegsarchiv is still the best and most complete World War One Archive in existence-and the most readily accessable (with the possible exception of the British).
Funny, I just had a conversation this morning about this with a Prof. at Colby who is trying to trace Austrian Freikorps members as part of a Holocaust memorial Grant Project.
      Cheers,
