Hello Borzadow,

As you know, what you have here is a Saxe-Meiningen decoration for war service.
When introduced in 1915, they were made of bronze which was switched over to
a war metal base sometime around 1918. I honestly can not speak as to whether
your piece is “good” or not; but from the picture, it looks okay, as does what I can
see of the ribbon.

I would echo Wild Card's sentiments. It looks like a good one to me as well with honest wear and corrosion: eek:

I presume you didn't pay too much and with the ribbon it will be a fine addition to your collection.

The price of that on auction site is now 20 Euro so it is very good price
But I think that the price will rise to some about 40 Euro - and that will be still a good price

The one above looks like zink, but my grandfather's was made of iron, I thought they were made of iron. Look at the one dave danner shows which is perhaps bronze,

The iron example is much more impressive in my opinion.
