Adoption Papers are in the mail

Notice that the 1930s mounter has made a mistake and put the wrong "WW1" war ribbon on the Southwest Africa MVO4X which should have been (and remained) on the statute "peacetime" ribbon.

This is a very common period error.

But not for sons of the district lunatic asylum director.

According to Hessenthal/Schreiber a earlier MVK with X COULD be worn on the new war ribbon. So a Colonial award updated with the new ribbon is possible for the MVK, so I assume also for the MVO.

              Best regards

I haven't got the medalbar. I have got a MMJO which number of ring belonged to this officer. I have made research on Bayerische Militärarchiv and I have bought a copy of his file.

I am a bit disapointed because only Rick have found the name of this officer. So he is the only man who can put a name on a ribbon bar which is not prussian ?

Congratulations Rick you are the best !!!

The name of this officer is Lukas Ritter von Kaufmann. In one week I will have my books and the file of this officer and I try to scan it and put it in this forum.

Christophe: but there are only about SIX of us in the entire world who love ribbon bars and medal bars this much... and FIVE of us are here, on this Forum! (My guru, to whom I am only the apprentice, does not "internet.")
