I collect WW2 stuff but I am getting more and more interested in Imperial stuff. I would now like to learn more about the various awards. What publications can you guys recommend to help me learn?

Ah! Another convert from amongst the zinkys!
"Imperial" is a vast, immensely, galactically vast field. There is alas no such thing as a single source. We compartmentalize in a last desperate attempt to maintain sanity. Think of us as the same as Victorian campaign medal collectors, but all of OUR specialized references are written in the same typeface and handwriting as Martin Luther's....
If you want a solid, detailed over view of WW1 combat bravery and war merit awards from all the states, the late Neal O'Connor's "WW1 Aviation" books are the best. Photos, documents, award numbers, etc.
But now that you are emerging from The Darkness into the Collecting Light... which area seems most of interest to you? That will guide a focussed response.
