NONcombatant EK2 on the COMBATANT ribbon?

No... I think you have the same NAME but probably TWO different guys: father and son. Dad was old (Landsturm) and probably dead before 1935, but still young enough to have served in WW1... with a son barely draft age who never got to the front before the war ended.

That's what happened in the group I have. Junior was born in 1900 from school reports, dad probably circa 1870 from his Reserve/Landwehr commission dates.

I got it now, Rick. I wasn't thinking the son was that old in WW1.
