My first medal bar...

As I've stated in previous threads I've only been an active German collector for the last few months. This was the first German medal bar I purchased...the basic EKII/Honour Cross for combattants pair. Since I've joined the forum (a few weeks after this purchase) I've learned all about fakes and forgeries, good dealers and bad dealers. So it got me a bit worried. Based on what I've learned here, I think this EK is good - but I just don't know enough to be sure. The cross is unmarked and the mounting bar seems original to me...any opinions would be appreciated!

Great first medal bar. This combination was one of my first as well. I also started my son collecting with one of these sets. Great pair. The man that won this was there.

....for the replies, gentlemen! I'm quite happy with it myself. I was especially drawn to the different mounting style. A simple bar, no doubt, but as you both state, this guy was there. If only the medals could talk!

This is a common, but very representative Medal-Bar. A MUST for every Medal-Bar-Collection. A very nice Iron Cross!
