    EK2 1914 fake piece?

Evening all. It´s my first thread at this forum

I start collecting german items from ww1 and ww2 about one year ago.
I have only bought from Detlev N. And I only got small collection so far

Few weeks ago I finaly got time to learn more about these items, about makers and all that by reading this forum.
It´s been very helpful. But I´m far away beeing a expert, but I´m learning

Now to the topic. My friend have handful of items that he bought from local dealer (Iceland)

One of it was this EK2 1914. My first impression told me that is a fake.
Please correct me if I´m wrong.

      Welcome to the forum.

I think this cross is a well worn original. I do not see anything that
would indicate to me that it's a fake.

The cross could possibly be manufactured by "KO". Some of their crosses
exhibit the same kind of paint loss as the one you have posted.

hmm.. thanks fore that reply gregM.

I found this picture on EK2 maker thread on "KO" section.

That EK2 to the right seems to be pretty lookalike. With flat core.

As Greg has said, the cross is a good but worn original.
