    An Austrian medal bar

    Here is a nicely made bar to an Austrian NCO with matching mini. Oddly enough, he had it made in Germany.

            First of all, with all respekt: it is a "Frackspange", or "tuxedo bar". The other thing is a "Frankensteinspange", and this one seems not to be one.

            Very nice bar and one of the very few Austrian bars in German style that I like. Most seem to be, at least to me, modern made. I have a very similar ribbon bar, but with swords to the first bravery ribbon, without the two WWI medals, but with an Frontkämpfer-Ehrenkreuz - as well made by Reimann! If there were not those swords, those might be brothers.

              It is avery unique bar: Frackspange, German made, with mini-chain

              It is even rarer because you very seldom see Frackspangen for NCOs

                I was looking for a nice example to provide a comparision to my German bars and this one fits fine. Thanks for the help.
