Ok guys, now I need your help. What is this strange container? It must be german, is made from zink-plated steel and has an opening to fill somthing inside. It has also two leather strips to carry it (on the back?). Maybe for water/coffee? I don't think it was a flamethrower...

These are the remains of the Abris de la Lauffeé, a french bunker which was hit by 42 cm grenades of the "Dicke Berta" before the germans took it.Attached Files

The french used a large amount of steel in the concrete. Here the roof of the bunker after a direct hit by a 42 cm.
