    Cased EK1 - FR

I thought I would share my cased FR EK1 with the forum. This was found in my fathers belongings but it definitely could have been brought back by my grandfather who fought in the Great War. The medal is in very good condition and the case is still sturdy although the paper between the lid and base is only being held together by the satin lining. Enjoy the photos and comments welcomed.

That's an awesome looking set, with a familiy connection to boot. Not mint but I love it. I still haven't picked up an FR EK1. The case is the harder to find white rimmed version too.

Great find Dan. Even better that you know the likely history on it. It's in wonderful condition (please keep the polishing cloth away from this beauty!).

                        Very nice
The cross has great detail, nice sharp numbers and "W". The case
is an early one with the button style push pin.

                        congrats.

Agreed, I would put it about 1916 judging from the case, and a nice maker too.
