Very quick easy question re Wound badges

Does the DRGM pressed metal version carry any sort of price escalation compared to the standard unmarked examples?

    Thanks in advance,

    regards,

    Angus

Well, it would to me, since in 35+ years of collecting I have yet to find one in my paws and have only seen them posted on this Forum!

But an exact "price?" I have no clue. More than a "normal" one to be sure.

"... it can happen to you, la lala, la la!.."

Why, WHAT should I find in the mailbox this afternoon but

      (wait for it!!!)

a DRGM marked wound badge from Angus! Eight days from España and ¡No problemos! So we even defeated the Spanish Post Office goblins!

Here is a side by side comparison of a regular plain old 1918 BWB and the DRGM version:

I don't think we'll ever be able to say for sure, but I'm willing to bet that this WAS a 1918 wartime labor-saving variety--

there are long tails of metal stamped out at toip and bottom of the badge, then bent over for a ready made catch and the pin hinge. No fiddly hand soldering to finish the badges.

            My first purchase ever was...

... a DRGM Wound Badge. I've only been actively collecting for a few months now so maybe I lucked out? I bought it from an antique and militaria store here in Toronto for CAD75.00 (about USD56.00, GBP33.00, or EURO49.00). I've since figured out that this particular shop's prices are a bit high, but maybe I did alright with this one. I didn't know that the DRGM marked WB's were special until I joined this forum - so score another one for the good guys!
            Regards,
            Geoff
