1914 EK1 opinions please.

I've had this EK in my collection for a number of years and always believed it to be an original but my knowledge of these EKs is very limited so I hope some of the Imperial gurus can give me some more information and tell me if it's a good 'un.

Hi Adrian,

Imo the cross is genuine and at a guess, probably 20s. The only question I'd ask is whether the core has been repainted.

It has that duck billed pin often seen on blued core versions. I think the core has been repainted.

Actually, on second look, I'm not sure if it is a duck billed type pin, but it looks close.

Thank you for the replies gentlemen, I've wondered about the core myself. If it is repainted it's been done in a way whereby the painted hasn't encroached onto the beading, it's possible to slip a piece of paper between the core and the beading in several places.
