    Hi Hans !

    A great photo !!!!

If You are interested in Austria's WWI, You will find many informations on

    www.austro-hungarian-army.co.uk

or on the site of my own comradeship-association:

www.linzer-zweier.at (only in German language, but with nice photos).

Have You ever tried to find out more of Landsturm-Zugsführer Valentin Kröss in the Austrian "Kriegsarchiv" in Vienna ?

    Cheers,

    Peter

Hi Hans, I have never shown the photos to anyone else, but I am afraid that there is no indication to the unit on the photos as far as I recall ... although, I have not looked at them for quite a while ... they are pre-WW1 military and WW1 military photos ... I will get them out again and see if I can find any clues and maybe I will post them here ... but I am always very reluctant to show anything from the family publically ... Cheers, Torsten.

        Torsten,

Perhaps your photos, if postcards, have some unit identification on the reverse?
