WW1 Case for EK2? came with an 1914 EKI

Picked up this case and cross from a vet recently. Any idea what the case is for? It has an indentation for a cross but has straps on the lid for what I assume is holding a ribbon. The case is marked Kunstgewerbe-haus GG Leykauf Nurnburg.

    The cross is marked KO.

The cross has been mated with an incorrect case.

Any Idea what the case was supposed to be originally for?

The case most likely contained an Imperial EKII with the ribbon retained by the straps in the lid.

I agree, an EK2 case. Just pick up a nice EK2 and you'll have a good set.
