The lack of any of the vanity campaign/veteran stuff plus the construction puts this bar, in my mind, to just after the war/early twenties. Or maybe the guy was just too cheap and/or lazy to update it. If he did apply for his Hindy, and most Germans did, he would have had to have a new bar made, hence this one was probably put away at that time.

The sad truth is that there are faked bars of any price range. The shown bar would not be the "cheapest" one around. The thing is (at least in Germany) those extremely common awards are sometimes really hard to sell - and bars sell not only easier, but also for more money.
I'm still not sure with that one, it can be good. Holding it in hands I might have another opinion on it, who knows. However, I think it is necessary to talk about that issue.
