The lack of any of the vanity campaign/veteran stuff plus the construction puts this bar, in my mind, to just after the war/early twenties. Or maybe the guy was just too cheap and/or lazy to update it. If he did apply for his Hindy, and most Germans did, he would have had to have a new bar made, hence this one was probably put away at that time.

You are no doubt correct based on the observances above. However, assuming that the lack of a Hindy cross dates all bars to pre 34, was in my opinion flawed logic.

True, perhaps I shouldn't have been so brief.

I don't have any problems with fresh ribbons. The ribbons do look good as do the decorations, of course - the PRM3 is a post war issue, by the way. I have neither a problem with the trapezoid bar - pretty common in mid 30s. I still do have a problem with the backing. It may be the pictures, but it does not look like an old fabric to me but heavily reminds me to fabric found on eCrap fake bars.

Do you really believe any bar with that combination to be real? If so, good luck in collecting...

No saschaw, I don't. I do believe it has a lower probability of being fake than a bar with more or higher end items on it.

The sad truth is that there are faked bars of any price range. The shown bar would not be the "cheapest" one around. The thing is (at least in Germany) those extremely common awards are sometimes really hard to sell - and bars sell not only easier, but also for more money.

I'm still not sure with that one, it can be good. Holding it in hands I might have another opinion on it, who knows. However, I think it is necessary to talk about that issue.

At least we agree on that.
