A piece of ribbon off a (rhomboidal) medal bar just arrived, with the following bars:

METZ
GRAVELOTTE - ST. PRIVAT
ORLEANS
LE MANS

Any way of narrowing down the unit(s) which might have received this combination?

Your likeliest match is a reinforcement for III. Armeekorps, not present at Spichern or Vionville-Mars la Tour. Half this Coprs was also at Beaugency-Cravant--but obviously half was not.

IX and X VCorps are also less likely, the former missing a couple of earlier engagements but also Beaugency and Noisseville, the latter also at Beaugency and Beaune La Rolande and Vionville.
