Help With An Inscription

Hopefully I can learn something about this memorial paper weight from our very knowlegeable members.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The first German tanks came in march 1918 and they had only a handful of german A7V and captured british tanks.

They imperial army had also only small "Sturmpanzerwagen-Abteilung" and no Panzer-Regimenter. And those Abteilungen were builded in September 1917.

Ron,

I only find two Kurt Macher in the Verlustlisten. One was in the Saxon Res.I.R.Nr.103 and is listed killed on August 30, 1916. The second was in Saxon Res.I.R,106 and was lightly wounded on March 24,1916.

The unit marking on this plaque makes little sense if we understand the "Pz." to be Panzer. Wish I could figure it out.

The plate with the Stahlhelm, for what could the O.H.S.V. stand? O.V. Soldaten Verein?
Whats that between the Letters?
The collar tab look like Wehrmacht or Reichswehr? Any suggestions about the Modell of the Stahlhelm?
