    Is this original?

    Hallo All,

I recently bought an additional EK2 (I'll post others later), and I am wondering if it is genuine. It lacks detail in the front side's crown. There is also a crater(?) in the W. It is a 3 piece, iron core. The loop ring is a little bit larger as usual. It is also thorn at the front side. No maker marks present. Any Ideas?

    Best Regards,
    Michel

Looks ok to me. Perhaps the product of a worn die.

      Thanks Don, !

I also read the article(s) about the loop ring marks, and what is still unclear to me, are they special?
I have a Godet with such a mark (without the big ring) and a "V". I also have a Godet without the mark. Does that mark says anyting about the silver content of the frames?

      Best regards,

      Michel

If the mark is a content mark then it will have numbers, ie. 800, 935...
Letters are maker marks. Godet used a G or G&S for example. Tony has a list on his homepage posted at the top of this forum. Look for Tony & Kaiser.
