Imperail U-boot 16 mm stickpin, opinions wanted!

So I am not an expert on imperial stuff, but I got this 16 mm stickpin and I have not yet made my mind up about its originality.

I have tried to take the best pics possible. And it would be nice if anyone could post theirs for comparasion.

This one might have been cleaned.....

I showed it for a collector friend, he thought it was an original pin, but that it was made during the Third Reich, not made during the WW 1 era.
