      Thomas,
      Very nice
Have you considered posting detailed scans of the items?

I am envious of anyone with period aviation pieces. That is what
originally caught my interest as a teenager. I loved studying the
biplanes and triplanes and of coarse the stories of the Red Barron.
I would like very much to have an original aviation badge or PLM.

The only thing even remotely related to aviation that I own is a
screwback EK1 with large sew-on style backplate sometimes (wrongly)refered to as a flyers cross---------

        Greg,

Im not really a WW1 collector, if anything a WW2 collector as Ive said before.
Compared to these guys here that own real WW1 PLMs and other badges, my
        mini-collection is a starter kit.

I do have one other WW1 collectable, that being I have 3 postcards,
one each of Richtofhen, Boelke and Immelman - wearing thier PLMs.
These guys were the genius and inventors behind combat dogfight tactics as you probably know.
Sanke (and other) cards of the experten aces were like having Babe Ruth baseball cards to us.

But its good enough for me, my interest in WW1 is really just the tactics,
machines and the pilots like the Richthofen. Ive been studying dogfight tactics
and reading biographies of the Aces from WW1 and WW2. Collecting just kind
brings it home as a touchstone to the past.

Believe it or not, thats the best picture I could take of these items using my
digital camera on manual focus. I dont know how to do any better.

Forgive my amatuerish photography. Here are the 3 Ace postcards.
IMHO, these are the top guns that developed the first combat fighter tactics.
Amazing when you think of how young these "kids" were and what they accomplished.

Its unfortunate that BvR's demise was due in part to his not following his
own dictums. That being not chasing the enemy over their lines where a
AAA gunner with a golden BB got him through the heart with one slug.

Note: no mini-PLM hanging from a bar or chain for his formal dress.

            Nice!
Somewhere in my files I think I have a picture of an elderly
gentleman wearing a tuxedo with a bottonhole mini. I will have
            to try to find it.

Any luck finding out more about silver minis?
