Two interesting imperial portrait photos

Hello guys,

I'm not into imperial militaria but picked them up at saturday's militaria fair as I thought they might be interesting or rare.

First I think is a German priest showing off his cross, iron cross and another unknown award. Second: I have no clue. He is wearing a "V.S." armband and an emblem on his cap.

Did I do well picking these up for 3$ for both?

Second portrait.

The second cross on the first picture looks like the Charlottenkreuz from Wurttemburg. This was awarded to those that cared foR the sick and wounded at home and in the front line so it fits in with position.

Well anything for 3 bucks is a deal. They both look like nice portraits. I'm not sure what the armband in the second one signifies. The one with the priest is great and is not often seen. Are they postcard size?

Thanks Steve. They are both small sized portraits, about 5X8 cm each.
Any ideas on the VS armband?

Pictures with army chaplains are not very common! And this one is wearing his fresh awarded EK2 next to the Charlottenkreuz. Full score I would say...

You did really well there. The second one I think is either a postman or a Bahnofficer. Can we see the cap badge a little closer and/or a button?

judging by what can be seen on the photo so far, the second one does indeed look like Post Office ... would be good to see a close up of the cap badge. Cheers, Torsten.
