    I noted this quite interesting item on eBay.

    First of all - is this good? But more important to me now: Where could I find more information on this... In general, what book could be good to have, when I need information on WW1 German State awards?

              Note the differences in the attachment of the branches and in the hinge. I have no idea what that means. It's hard to say "compare X with known period examples" when I've only ever seen one other.
