Hi Richard, you have a great starter set of Prussian -German coins. Here is what you have in the order you presented them: Prussian coins 5 mark 1888 KM512 $100. Mining thaler 1832 KM420 $75. 3 mark 1910 Berlin Univ. KM530 $60. 3 mark 25th anniv. of reign KM535 $20. 3 mark Battle of Leipzig KM534 $25. Nazi Germany 5mark 1938A KM94 $10. 5 mark 1935 E? KM83 $8. KM= Krause Mishler cataloge numbers, values are my tentative estimates guessing from your scans. Your Grandma had good taste in coins. Fred

First check the public library or local coin shops or even hobby and regular book stores. What you want is the Standard Catalog of World Coins 19th and 20th century editions or the SCof German Coins which would have all your coins in one volume. The market is slow now and I can only guess at the future but these coins have held their value well over the years and they don't eat. Just keep them in a dry environment and not clinking together. If you want you could check out the Krause Publications web site at collect or collectit.com i'm never sure what it's called now, or search under Krause Publications. Fred

2004 Krause catalogs can be found on eBay for around $45 per volume (a discount off the retail price of $50-55).

I would agree that you should check your library first, though. If you are not a serious coin collector you don't want to drop $90 + shipping for the 1801-1900 and 1901-present volumes, only to have them be outdated in a year. They are telephone book-sized volumes with over 2000 pages each on every country in the world.
