I have a question about an 1914 ek2,
I have 2 and one came from the daughters of the recipiant with the documents, that cross is very sharp in detail 3 pc.
construction. the second is marked wus on the ring and is 3 pc construction, mag.
center, the problem is that under a loop the center is a little rougher than the former cross I mentioned.
and the detail on the crown is not as sharp as its brother. the iron center has some small amounts of rust in the corners also.
my question is was thair a diffrence in makers and early vs late war production?
all the eks that I have seen 1914 have been fairly easy to detect as the money is not thair to make good quality fakes.
another thing the wus marked cross on the reverse the oak leaves are below the rimline and the unmarked the oak leaves are above the rimline. are all the diffrences just maker and time of war manufacture diffrences? thanks as always
and if any one has a wus maker marked cross that they could post for compairson I would appreciate it.
