    I realize that the ribbon may or may not be real (I'm working on confirming that) but besides that what do some of you think of the cross???

    Hi Don,

    as You say the ribbon might be real or not. If it really belongs to the cross You can only see in combination with the award document. There were 5.000.000 EK2 awarded in WW1 but just 15.000 on the white ribbon.
    I have no problem with the cross. Just my opinion, does the frame look more massive than the typical Schinkelform? Maybe a late 30ies/early 40ies replacement piece?

      thanks. Imperial crosses are not my specialty. I just happened to go down this road because ww1 was the cause of ww2.
