here is my mothers grandads first world war iron cross.

as you can see its not in the best shape but i thought id show anyway.

i also have his medal bar and a sweet heart iron cross band he made in the trenches(i was told the band is made from a shell)

here is the trench art......its on my 11 year old sons wrist....so its very small!

look at the detail in the tiny iron cross.......all that was going on around them they made these great items(or did they just stick them together...rather than hand making the oak leaves etc...)

hi steve,
heres a close up of my ek first class.....as you can see it has been in action quite bad,with a few cracks to the core......

its the family history that has made me keep it boxed up without anymore harm comming to it!!!!!!

Nice cross, It has a fairly unique hinge, pin setup. Maybe we can identify the maker for you.

hi greg,
a maker would be great,im not sure when he was awarded it....so i could not date it....i also have his medal bar,silver screw back wound badge and SA dager.......and a few documents for a promotion to (if i remember correct) local farm leader level in 1934.
