    Beauty Bar?

    Saw this on German ebay, I thought it was great. Thoughts?

    A little faded. Seller is most proud of the WWI Gendarmerie medal. I personally like the 1870 bars.

    It's at 905 euros.

    I'm at a loss to explain the first one, which appears to be a Civil Merit Medal but in chocolate bronze (????) but the REST of 'em certainly add up nicely, with the 35 years Gendarmerie and 40 Years State and Community service crosses, as well as the 1870-71 bars. Bedraggled and dingy, poor thing. But supposedly has documents too, which the seller says he/she cannot read.

    (Public education everywhere, huh?)

      The bar includes all the documents, which frankly, as a group, are rarer than the medals. Still a great buy for the Bavarian collector!

        Na ja quite dirty but still a rare grouping. I liiike the Gendarmerie award.

          Well!

          Almost 1300- Euro for the high bidder when it was all done and over. I doubt you'll see a group of this age & nature, complete with documents again!
