              EK1 to Major heinrigs

have some scans of Heinrigs engraved cased EK1 however for whatever reason I cannot post scans, if some interested soul would contact me I could e mail said scans. Here is what Andy Baus kindly offered re: Heinrigs career. He entered IR 16 as a Fahnenjunker on 18.10.1890, was promoted Fähnrich on 16.05.91 and then to Sek.Lt. on 16.01.92. From 01.10.95 to 30.09.99 he was Adjutant of II./IR 16. Promoted Oberlt. on 22.07.00, he served as the regimental adjutant from 01.03.01 to 09.04.06. He went on to be the adjutant of the 67. Inf. Brig. from 10.04.06 until 16.06.10. He was promoted Hptm. on 14.09.06. The date of his commission was back dated to 20.04.03 on 27.01.13, gaining him three years seniority.

On 16.06.10 he was transfered to IR 145 and assumed command of a company. On 01.10.13 he was promoted Major and transfered to the staff of IR 24. Upon mobilization he took command of a battalion of the regiment. On 19.03.1915 he was trasfered as a battalion commander into IR 29. 20.10.15 he assumed command of IR 29 and held that command until 01.04.1919 when assumed command of the Rheinisch Freikorps. [He was promoted Lt.Col. on 18.10.1918.] A few weeks later he moved to the staff of the Reichswehr-Abtl. Rheinland.

In August 1919 he transfered to IR 24 until leaving the army on 31.01.1920. He became a member of the police in Berlin, and died in that capacity on Christmas Eve 1924.

He recieved the PLM on 08.11.17
              Cheers Kyle
