Thanks Jody. I think it emphasizies my point that WW1 and WW2 are not seperate events as we collectors like to think. Whether thru service or through the production of things they are a linked chain of events.

            Hello Don,

That is a really nice medal bar with a great combination of awards. I have always preferred the medal bars having a combination of Imperial and Third Reich Period awards. Much more interesting than an all-Third Reich bar. The bar is in excellent condition too. It looks like it was well cared for, as the ribbon colors are still nice and bright.

            Best regards,
            Tom

Interesting bar and one I would love to own.
The KvK ribbon looks very crisp . Does it smell right? (No, I am not joking).
Interesting career too-in uniform at home in 14-18, almost certainly some sort of NCO level chap who was active on the home front in 1940+.
I'd bet his bar from 1932 was even bigger though.

Must have been called up in the late thirties during the rearming phase but before 39 as there was little use for a frackspang after the shooting started.

                    I love them....

Great to see so nice and "strange" noncombatant combinations. First one must be real his country patriot, who made some effort during two wars, not in front line but still!

Same with the frackspange... guy who had front service (and some effort behind the front - medical) and still in duty 1933-1945!!!!

                        VERY interesting frack bar.
Obviuosly in some sort of civvy uniform/evening dress at the time too.
I wonder who that man was?

I wonder what he had on his next bar, if he lived long enough to mount them.

Killer bars Don. Love the Saxon one. These are very nice reminders of the service and sacrifice of all kinds of people during the war. Thanks for posting them. Steve
