ek2 mm Fr and picture

Got this cross in todays post.The cross is nice ,although a little bent on the lower arm.It came with a post card with a picture of a soldier with his ribbon for the iron cross on his tunic.
On the back of the picture is some writing,i don't know what it says as i can't read German. It looks like it has been cropped at some point ,maybe to fit a frame as some of the writing is missing.
if you can read it maybe you can tell me what it says. It may not even be from the period.

I'm German, but this kinda writing is too hard to read for me, too - maybe the NSA can help to decipher...
Nice cross and an even nicer Studio Portrait of that soldier.

yeah the writing does look a bit hard to make out.
O well it was worth a try.i would just liked to have known what he was writing about.

It is a letter for his parents in law: "Ihr lieben Schwieger Eltern". He was really not a champion in the grammatical league. :-)

I'll try to translate it tomorrow, because I've no time for it in the moment.
