    Wehrwolf Post Office ??

Just got this 'birthday wishes' postcard on eBay.

The postage stamp is franked with a Wehrwolf 'sonderstempel'.

The addressee is simply shown as being at the 'shooting range'. No other address!

I wonder if the Wehrwolf operated a free (or cheap) post system for their members..............like the Boy Scouts do here in the UK at Christmas?

    Wehrwolf birthday postcard!

I have no informations about a Wehrwolf post system. I think it is not a special "Sonderstempel". It looks like a normal stamp of a Wehrwolf Ortsgruppe. It is an official German postage stamp on the postcard.

The question: Why should somebody buy and use a official German postage stamp for a Wehrwolf post system? On the postcard is no street, no number, no name of a town….only the the birthday wishes for the Oberpostagent Richard Schmidt!

    Oberpostagent…..I think, I understand!!

The birthday wishes were for a man, who worked for the German Post!!!

I think one of his comrades wanted to give him a special birthday gift, a “traditional postcard with postage stamp", but with the stamp of the Wehrwolf Ortsgruppe

In my opinion: A Wehrwolf birthday joke!

      What do you think Robin?
