    Here's something: EK for review

For discussion: Iron Cross 1813 1st class I'm looking at purchasing. The seller, a good trusted friend, states that he purchased it from Dr. Kleitman/his collection in the early 1970's in Berlin(west back then- for all you young-uns..)
It's an 1813 centennial cross produced in 1913 with a velvet center. All construction is or very near sterling silver.
These are the best photos I have..

It is cross shaped.... Sorry but I couldn't resist. The frame definately looks 1914-1918ish. Any paperwork/proof to back up the story?

I'm about to go out of town for Army duty. When I return I'll be pulling more info.. As far as paperwork to support it --unknown
Don, if the description is correct-what would one expect to pay?

Hard to say. A good ek1 made from those componants would go for $150-200.
